A Welcome Addition to the Area’s Retail Landscape

When I saw this sign, I let out an involuntary “Woohoo!” There is a new TJ Maxx opening in the Conyers Crossroads Shopping Center. According to the TJ Maxx website, the existing store at 1680 Hwy 138 is moving to this new location on September 5th. I cannot wait. The old store is a little small and Hwy 138 is really congested which can make getting there a pain. A newer and larger TJMaxx that is easier to get to is exciting news!

OK, technically, this is in Rockdale County, but for residents on the west side of Newton County, it is about the same distance driving to Newton County’s main shopping area – Hwy 278, as it is to drive into Conyers. For many western Newton County Residents, Conyers is actually closer. I, for one, will be one of the first people in the store when it opens.
